A mad clinical whirl
Apr. 11th, 2007 07:44 pmSo I've survived my first 3 days of clnic. I've applied more physical agents in 3 days than I did in my entire previous 8 weeks of clinical placement (ultrasound, e-stim, whirlpool, ice packs, hot packs, heat + e-stim, cold + e-stim; haven't done ultrasound + e-stim yet but it's only a matter of time; ditto iontophoresis). I handled 2 patients simultaneously by myself today. I'm still pretty sure I'd rather work in inpatient rehab, but outpatient is (so far) not as bad as I'd feared. Except that I can't wear my good shoes (by which I mean, shoes that are good for my feet, not "good" shoes), so my feet are killing me.
